No idea that the car had been to Russia. Am I being paranoid when I start to wonder if the 9074 miles on the clock when I bought it are genuine?
Next I found this under the spare:
As I am sure you have noticed, this is the sliding cover for the rear seat center console. And the pieces fit together like so:
There were two of the smaller pieces when I first found this and they just stick to the fabric and flex when you slide it open. Anyone want to guess where the second and likely all the remaining pieces are? That's right, they have fallen off the fabric and are all piled up under this piece of piano black walnut.
Any idea how to get this damn thing off and those pieces out of there?
Have I mentioned yet how much I really love this car?
Yikes! The Carfax shows it was exported to Kotka, Finland in 2014 and came back to FL in 2018. Besides these minor cosmetic issues I can find no indication that the car was used like Hoovies, but I obviously have some serious investigating to do.

Reason: spelling, as in I can't
Actually, just went over 10K. Bought it in Detroit and drove it back to MD the next day. Love the car and it really looks like it has only 10K on the clock. Putting it up on the ramps this weekend and we'll see what it looks like under the diffusers.
I don't think I am worried about smuggling so much as the actual mileage on the vehicle. As Hoovie mentioned above it sounds like common practive to roll back the odometer in that part of the world.
Nope, Carfax was the first thing I looked at. However, watch Hoovie's video above and note his comment on Finland. Mine was exported to Finland in 2014 and came back through FL in 2018, so when I found the Russian plate in the trunk I started to get worried.
Well, obviously I am not in Hoovie's position. Everything on my car is in great condition and works perfectly. So today I had her up on the ramps, pulled the diffusers off and had a good look up her skirt. A really good garage day! Found a clamp on a front driveshaft boot loose, but nothing else. Had a good look at all the suspension bushings, the air springs, brakes and everything else under this plastic covers. Looks exactly like an 8 year old car that has spent a couple winters in Michigan (and Finland). If there are more than 10K miles on this car, I cannot find evidence of it. Still has the original brake pads. I still have some enquiries out with the Finnish import and licensing folks and Bentley of Finland, but after today I don't have any concerns at all.
