Torque specs Bentley CGT
Torque specs Bentley CGT
Hi, I will replace all 8 control arms in my CGT as wells as the right side CV axle, my question is: Where can I get the torque specs for the control arms and the CV axles 12 point bolts of the differential and the bearing bolt? also the sparkplugs torque.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Unfortunately, you're going to have to get a copy of IETIS for this.
Not only does it contain the torque values (which in most cases are X Nm then Y degrees), but it also describes the angles at which the control arms must be set prior to tightening the bolts. This is especially true of the upper arms which have to be correctly aligned to the strut mounting bracket whilst off the car, because it's almost impossible to do once the assembly is refitted to the car.

You can purchase a set of disc at the dealer, some say £30, or you can purchase online for the same price, but I think the link I posted is odd as it states 2009 model, the downloads I have purchased are either 2004-2008 or 2004-2010, always remember that depending on which version you get, you will need to change the date on your laptop or PC to a date of March XX 2008, or March XX 2010, I have read from others on here that even the dealers disc will run out (expire) in three months, as the service departments would constantly receive the updated discs as the vehicles evolved, so that makes me wonder if the dealer disc that are sold to the general public would expire and need the resetting of the date each time one would restart the program, I will ask Bentley Of Edison Monday.
