Battery charger issue
Hi, my first post, so sorry if its not accordingly.
Bought a 2011 (genll) CGT this year. Great car, one owner, full-service history, and the 154-point inspection with no comments in September. The company who stores it over the winter just reached out with the following, “we have changed charger ( Brand new CTEK's connected through the mag adapter) twice but the same problem occurs, once the battery is full (recon mode used) the charger goes in to red, warning, default mode. The voltage indicates fully charged but why does this happen? I was under the impression that once “full” is reached the charger will guard the voltage to ensure no power drain to avoid towing and rebooting of system. Anyone? the battery on the driver side (LHD) is new as from august this year.

From what I have seen, once the recon is finished, you would but the c-tek in winter mode, or normal mode.
EDIT: I will add that recently I also had the red light after what I thought to be a complete charge on what was a good battery, turned out that someone in the garage unplugged the extension cord feeding the charger, and I had the battery warning on the dash, I replaced both batteries and all is good.
I believe that my batteries went through a few to many drawdowns... eventhough they were not that old, just for reference, I
lost a brand new battery on my A8L W12 because I let the vehicle sit for a year and totally forgot to put the vehicle in sleep mode, or disconnect the battery, I did not have a tender on it, now I do..

I had a contractor that I liked very much, but he ALWAYS unplugged the heater and left it unplugged. ALWAYS. I didn't care if he used the outlet at all, just plug it back in. Every time I stopped by the basement, it was unplugged. Made me crazy.
In the end, it didn't matter, after the contractor finished up with new doors and such, the basement never got cold at all. But still, who does that?

In a commercial building I own, I've always been scared of frozen pipes in the basement. I have a kerosene salamander heater set to fire up at 45 degrees F, it will warm the whole basement in just a couple of minutes.
I had a contractor that I liked very much, but he ALWAYS unplugged the heater and left it unplugged. ALWAYS. I didn't care if he used the outlet at all, just plug it back in. Every time I stopped by the basement, it was unplugged. Made me crazy.
In the end, it didn't matter, after the contractor finished up with new doors and such, the basement never got cold at all. But still, who does that?
