I will test the secondary driver settings in the next few days and report back for all to know.

 

That would be great. Would really drill into what happened.

I'm happy that I had two keys with the car. I had one of them re-furbished at the princely sum of £113 and it looks pretty much like factory.

So I reinitialized the seats and steering wheel and stored seat setting according to the manual to the 2 new keys. No deal. Either I am not programming correctly, or they will not accept the driver settings. Is there any chance that the '06 owner's manual instruction for programming keys to driver settings is incorrect? At the end of the day, this is a non-issue with me, not having driver settings set by the keys. The seat programming settings work perfectly. Just push the setting button and you have what you need.
