Where do you guys buy tires? I have used Tire Rack and Discount tire. Any recommendations on good prices on these over price Pirellis?

 

I happen to like the Michelin pilot sport 4s tires and so usually get these at the local Costco or BJs when they have a buy 3 get one free, $200 off or whatever sale they run every few months.

 

I have put various brands on all three of my GT's, can't tell much difference.
Simpletire.com has good prices I have found.

Thanks for the responses. I have had problems with Costco mounting tires before. I am not sure they can mount on the Bentley chrome rims without damaging them.

 

Haven't had problems w/my local costco (been going to the one in Wharton) in NJ, but I have stock, non-chromed, 19s, so perhaps those are easier. They've also done the 20's on my Q7, but I wouldn't know if they damaged them or not, as it's my daily and I've never really stopped to look closely.

I have recently purchased 12 of these Continental ExtremeContact Sport tires, 4 for my 05 A8L W12 in 275/40/ZR20's from Mavis in Green Brook on 22, then 4 for my Bentley GT in 275/35/ZR20's, and 4 for my son's 2000 A6 4.2 wide body in 235/35/ZR19 from Amazon, the price for the Bentley tires is shown below in the pictures, I took the 4 new tires, 4 new TPMS sensors, and 4 brand new wheels over to Holman Go on Route 1, they have the "Touchless Tire Mounting Machine", and the road force balancing machine, they installed the TPMS and mounted and balanced the wheels all for $100 total, plus had free espresso, cappuccino, and snacks while waiting, the service man Branden did a beautiful job, not a mark on the wheels 😀 !

Everybody on here complains about how loud the Pirellis are, so I went with Michelin. These are summer tires only (although I unfortunately drove them in the worst midwest snowstorm of the year last year and they did fine for a four-hour round trip in deep snow and salt). They improved my ride from my old brittle tires and are nice and quiet, how I like it.

I ordered them through Tire Rack and had them delivered to my independent. I don't use TPMS, the system was removed eons ago.

There are not a lot of choices, due to the weight of the car.

 

275/35 ZR21 P zeros. I don't want run flats. I need 2. Thanks
