There's a guy on Facebook at the moment claims his upgraded turbos have given him 850hp. I guess it depends what you're looking for. My guy here in the UK says their recommended tuners can give 700hp and 900Nm with a re-map.
Both figures are significantly beyond what ZF quotes as being the maximum that the transmission will handle...
They are indeed. Having said that, my independent has been involved with many at the 700ish level with no issues on HP26 box observed. They also run up to 1000 at the factory, apparently
From memory even the Speed and Supersport were above the quoted maximum of the 6HP but I'd have to trawl through my docs as to the version differences
It's interesting that most literature states that the Supersports has the 6HP26, when in fact the Supersports has the 6HP28 as shown in my attached picture.
Yet I was unable to find specs on the 28, is it designated a 28 because of the "quick shift" ??
That's an interesting question. I learnt most of what I know about the 6HP because my history with Maserati Granturismos. The later models of them had what was called MC-Auto shift (which we've always assumed was a Maserati specific programming to reduce shift times and mimic the MC-Shift robotised manual) I wonder if it was, in fact, the 28 variant. Can't find it referenced in any of my documents, so I might ask around.
