Randy V is infamous around these parts
Renew Control Arm Bushings

My 2009 CGT is beginning to show significant tire wear on the front inners.

An Indy indicates the control arm bushings need replaced.

Can just the bushings be replaced or does the entire control arm need replaced.

A Bentley tech on FaceBook indicates either is achievable using same parts as Audi plus approx. 2 hours labour per side plus 4-wheel alignment.

Thanks for any guidance.

The lower is Bentley specific, it’s bigger than the Audi .
Although they say an Audi fits its smaller bulk wise .
There are plenty of threads on this , best to buy new .Figure 20-30;K miles consumable parts .

Yes the bushing can be pressed out and replaced with the above bushings. However, might not be cost-effective. Worth asking the repair shop before buying parts.

We replaced the bushings with the control arm droped down on the bushing side, leaving the ball joint still attached to the wheel. This was done on a lift. A portable bushing press was used.
