I have a couple quirks with my car and was hoping to gets some thoughts and opinions as to what is going on.

1. If I leave my turn signal lever in an on position when I shut the car off, The headlight and tail light on that side stay on. Examples = I turn into my driveway and shut the car off. Come back later to find the lights on one side on. Signal and pull to the curb to park at work, come out later to find half my lights on. When I get out of the car, I get no alarms or warnings. When I get in the car, sirens are wailing, and lights are flashing that I left my "parking lights on".

2. Engine is bogging down when I try to accelerate hard..... sometimes. This happened for the first time about a month ago. Tried to pull into a faster lane. I was going about 40mph. I put on the signal and hit the gas. The car slowed down. The more gas I gave it, the more it slowed down. Eased off, let it rest and it took off just fine. Smaller instances have happened a couple times since. Happened again last night. Went down a freeway ramp. I was going about 45mph. Hit the gas to merge into a lane going about 60mph. Kept giving it more gas and the car just didn't accelerate. Then, clunk! The pedal hit the floor. I left it there to see what would happen. Car changed a couple gears and seemed to slowly wake up from sleep. Power came on slow and then gradually ramped up to get me off and going. Made for a very slow and plodding lane change. With less aggressive pedal work, the car gets up and goes just fine. It acts a little bit like it is flooding when I smash the pedal down. Bad plugs? Bad distributor? Bad ignition? Confused computer? Thoughts appreciated.

My car is a 2007 with about 30,000 miles and good maintenance history.

1 - std parking light for the side the stalks pulled .As opposed to both sides on with the light switch .
2- Bogging down the turbo waste gate solenoid(s) .I think they are called N75 valves ?

Quote: 1) This is what we term as an RTFM fault.

2) I agree with John (for once), but would suggest that you look for a vacuum leak. (The solenoids are N75 and N272 on right and left banks respectively).
Ouch. Missed #1 on my read through.
