And you're still not getting the timing stuff. I can keep sending you on learning errands, but I'm guessing you're spending more time trying to prove a wrong theory you have. Too bad we're just on a merry go round now.
I'm going to concede to you that in your mind you are seeing 50 more HP in your Bentely simply by filling the tank with E85.
BTW, LS3 was the very first engine I tuned 11 years ago and since then I've done more LS platforms than I can count.
I think we're done at this point.
All the Best,
I'd like to do one last follow up post here regarding E85 tuning and ignition timing. I spend a lot of time on tuning forums and I coincidentally ran across a tuning article on this topic just this morning.
This is not to continue picking away at the topic with Sapphire, he and I hopefully ended in agreeing to disagree, and because of the shear length of this and a topic level of complexity beyond comprehension, it will surely pi$$ off Dark Green, but I'll wear my internet flame suit and bear the brunt if another tantrum comes.
In this text extract of a Webinar, the tuner walks through setting up an E85 timing table in a vehicle setup for flex. He describes the same procedure I described (and have used in tunes I've done) about creating a different advance table for the E85 while maintaining the high octane table for gasoline. He expands on how to optimize the table for E85 by modifying torque tables as well (another whole E85 topic).
Just a second warning, this is a very difficult and long text extract to follow without getting to see a matching video instruction set but delivered from a professional tuner with E85 experience. It might not be for everyone.
