Thanks for the reply are we saying that these units can be installed by self.
Do theses units come with a rear camera ?
Thanks
Sal
A lot of users on this forum have installed the screen themselves. I chose to let a local shop install mine, because it was 20 years ago that I was into the car audio scene and installed everything myself.
They will most likely give you a rear camera for free if you ask them kindly. My seller did. The camera I received was about 1 x 1 inch (2,5 x 2,5 cm) and I wasn't fond of how it would look, so I didn't install it. Perhaps you can ask for others to choose from that are more slim.
Hello @xclens ,
The question is in reference to the windshield wipers service position, and the suspension control as far as height, and the 4 settings of ride quality, from comfort to sport, the two items used the big center **** on the original Infotainment head unit for selecting each, along with other items.
So, the question is, with any of the aftermarket head units, can these actions still be performed ?
Johnny
Yes, on the Ben Hur, all actions are still available. For instance, there is a dedicated button for windshield wiper service. My ride/comfort works, the analog clock is set via the head unit, everything is in a different place but I haven't found anything that can't be controlled.

When they installed my Ben Hur, they put a license plate camera in, it's a tiny little sense at the top of my license plate mount. Interestingly, when I was looking for a picture to post it, I found a lot of "wireless" license plate backup cameras, and I started wondering if mine was wired or wireless, since wireless would be a helluvalot easier to install. Dunno. I spent some bucks on the install, so I don't know if that part went into running a wire or a wireless one.
I love my backup camera, absolutely love it. That and the subwoofer, those two things really are nice additions to a nice car.
Now if I could only get everyone to stop slamming the passenger door! Whammy!
Hi, was looking into installing this screen. So all of you who have installed it, are you happy with it now that its been 6 months experience? Thankyou in advance
I would highly recommend it. In my eyes it increases the value of the car by a tremendous amount, especially compared to the cost of the unit + installation.
It is not perfect, it does have a few minor technical bugs, but overall it is a great update to the original older head unit.
Thankyou for your response, i am deciding to buy it this month and then will have to look for an Audio specialist around my area cause i dont have the skills for DIY
I didn't think I did either, so I let a local "all-around-car-shop" do it for me. And in retrospect I am glad that I did.
My Bentley came from Japan and it had a large amount of extra things added to it behind the radio unit. TV-tuners and bluetooth devices and the list goes on. My installer removed quite a bit of unwanted wires and units before he could start the installation. Once that was done, it was a pretty simple installation.
Some people have complained about the level of the volume being too low and have added a small RCA "amplifier", but I am perfectly fine with how mine sounds. The radio volume is a tad bit lower than the rest, but I always listen to Bluetooth / Spotify anyways.
I have been quite happy with the radio, I am dealing with some issues that may be tied to the MMS system and my suspension. It may not actually be related but since so much was tied to the Radio there may be a loose wire or something my shop is looking at it. My only big annoyance is there can be a lag between my phone and the screen, when you have really tight directions, like, make a left, then in .1 mile make a right. Sometimes almost miss those turns because of the delay. Maybe because its using wireless carpay, not sure.

It could very well be something with my Japanese car regarding the radio volume.
Please tell me more about this MMS system and suspension issues? I am not familiar with that.
So you use Apple Carplay with your Bentley? I honestly haven't tried the navigation apps yet, I always just use the Google Maps app on my Samsung cell phone. But I will check that out in the upcoming days and see how it acts in my car.
I remember someone saying they installed a new home screen app, have you done that as well? Do you mind uploading some pics and info if that's the case?
So we are seeing MMS errors on the various systems in the car. Currently, we can get the suspension to raise and lower using the shop tools but the button inside the car doesn't respond and is greyed out in the new tablet screen. Hoping maybe a wire that was loose and disconnected. Maybe not related but some systems arent happy about the new screen.
