Damp interior
Damp interior
Hi folks,
I’m continuing to enjoy my 04 conti gt and work through the niggles that crop up. Todays fun is the car smelling like damp dog.
On closer inspection, in the boot, the area around the main battery is wet.
Boot shut and jug of water test shows no leaks so I think the internal tubes around the wing mech are ok.
Dropping the parcel shelf down also finds evidence of water (tv tuner is rusty). There is also an ominous mould patch near the 12v socket.
My car has had its high level brake light replaced some years ago and YouTube shows someone finding a leak in that area having pulled the interior apart.
Any advice on other things to try before I start taking interior bits apart?
Tim
