Continental GT steering rack valve

Hi, I hope somebody can throw some light on my current problem, whilst trying to remove the high pressure steering rack pipe that's attatched to the rack pipe, I could't shift it no matter how much penetrating fluid was sprayed at it, in the end in desperation I heated it up. Now I find that the rack pipe appears to have what remains of a plastic valve,I'm wondering if anyone can help me locate a valve maybe VW?

Possibly a sub part is available for the steering rack. A photograph is worth a million words. Please post a snappy of the part and the position on the rack that this piece is fitted.

Thx!

The pipe is attached to the fitting on the right.

This pic helps..... the bit that melted is there a remnant to photograph? Could you please describe the piece otherwise. Was the part a valve or a seal? Yes a complete pain, not so great to remove the rack for a simple plastic piece. Let's hope someone on The Forum can identify it.

There isn't alot left of the plastic valve, I managed to pickle out most of the melted plastic, there was a small spring in amongst it.
