Hello my friends
recently, the “check engine” light of my 06 GT is on,
I have 1. replaced both coolant pumps (see pictures), and 2. checked the related fuses.
however, the engine light is still on.
Even though I deleted the error code manually,
when I ignite the the car, the check engine light appears automatically.
The water temperature never exceeded 200F
I have used different machines to diagnose
the results all indicated the following:
error code 05644 Coolant Pump 2
P160C-004 Open circuit
I have replaced both coolant pumps (3 and 19)
I also checked the steps suggested by a YouTuber to solve P160c problem, I am sure that I don’t have the same issue~
On this forum, I saw Epoxy's post mentioning that s/he replaced the turbo cooling pump, which is located on the far end of the transmission https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...-pump-2-a.html
It seems like that s/he still got 05644 error code and check engine light like what I experienced.
PS. the location of the turbo cooling pump can be found from the post of Johnny Hotspur GT https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...ying-spur.html
Have checked five local repair shops, and three of them were specialized in VAG cars, but none of them can help solve the problem successfully Is there anything that can be done to save my GT?
