Okay folks, so my mechanic tells me an injector was bad on my 2004 GT and that when he tried to change it, the connector in the harness basically crumbled off. Is that something I can buy on its own or will I have to get a harness? He gave me part number 07C971610AK
Hello @dulay Remy,
I would splice the injector wiring and connector if the wiring is damaged by heat soak, or, if he just broke the connector housing while removing it, he can remove the two pins from the connector housing, I will mail you some injector plugs with pigtails for splicing if needed, I have the separate connectors cut from another harness as pictured below, but I also have the 07C971610AK as pictured below, but it has some wiring cut off by others, so only good for parts or repairing back to full, plus I have two other full engine harnesses, but don't have those part number here right now, I only state this if for some other reason you need the complete harness as by the part number given to you.
To be honest, I don't understand why your mechanic gave you the full engine harness part number, as to replace that harness is an engine out job to reach all the connections that harness has.
He, or she should just be purchasing a 07C 973 722 connector, and a wiring repair kit with proper pin size.
PM me your address and I will drop a few in the mail for you.
