Build Sheet/VIN Decoder - FREE from Bentley
I know there are some services that charge and I used one in the past but for my new-to-me '16 GT I sent an email to: contactbentley@contact.bentleymotors.com with my VIN asking them to email the build sheet. Just two hours later I received a 7 page pdf in my inbox. Easy peasy!
Thank you! In the 7 weeks I've had it I've gotten lots of nice comments about the color. This car is a nice upgrade from the '09.
Wow, thank you! They sent me a details report within a few hours, on a Saturday!!
It didn't have any information regarding all of the specific options for the car (I would, for example, like to know if my car has soft-closed doors, as mine do not soft-close..) But the build details report did tell me exactly how they had personally chosen the whole leather pattern for my Mulliner.
Appreciate it!

Was yours also just one page? And I believe Beluga is their word for black.
I was surprised to read that the previous owner in Japan had ordered fluffy floor mats, but only for the front. All along I always thought the two rear floor mats were missing.

And a LHD (left-hand-drive) at that! There is something unique about luxury cars in Japan, but I have not grasped the concept 100%. A neighbor of mine who used to live in Tokyo told me that the "used luxury" car taxes increased something ridiculously crazy after a few years, so the luxury car owners always sell their cars after a few years of ownership. In order to generate the most second-hand value they export them from the country. That is why they tend to custom-order their new vehicles with left-hand steering, instead of their regular right, because the majority of the world drives on the right side of the road.
