I have an 09 gt and the bank 2 idler is very noisy. I have the bumper removed and trying to figure out how to slide the radiator assembly back a few inches to change the pulley and tensioner.
I have the T10093 tool and this is where I am stuck. I could not quite figure it out using the bentley assistant instructions. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Hello @ret09gt ,
Here are the pictures you requested in pm.
Although, I think that I would approach changing the belt and idler or tensioner a different way, I wouldn't have removed the bumper, or be sliding out the radiator support, I would get down in there, if too tight, I would remove the bank 2 side radiator fan and control module to gain access to the idler, I have already removed and replaced both fans and their control modules without removing the bumper, or moving the radiator support at all, just removed the top plate, this gives plenty of room to work in the area, as one would use the pocket of the fan area to work on the front of the engine.
But being that you already have the bumper off, you might as well proceed with moving the radiator support outward, I would be interested to know if the upper and lower radiator hoses give enough slack to let the radiator support slide forward, or does it require the drainage of the coolant, and disconnecting both the upper and lower hoses, that would be one more reason for me to go with my approach.
Johnny I was able to slide the radiator pack back just enough to change the pulley. It was a pain to change the pulley . I had to order a stubby torx bit. The tensioner was no problem to remove after sliding everything back. On the 09 with a single fan you cannot remove the fan without removing the radiator brace. The brace bolts are hard to reach. Pins on both sides 1 inch extra clearance Very tight fit. Need to use a stubby torx
I finally got things back together and all is quiet. The old pulley bearing didn’t seem noisy but the tensioner bearing was noisy and wobbly. My 09 has the single fan and there is no way to remove the fan to change the top pulley tensioner and belt. Using the pins do allow you to slide the radiator pack back for room to get in there but it is a pain. Thanks Johnny for your recommendations.
