Thanks for all of the replies! I have ordered a can of Fluid Film; I found a seller here in Sweden who had it in stock. I'll post an update once I've gotten somewhere.

There is a YT video where a guy has this problem and it has something to do with a hinge. His was on the left not right. As I recall the part was either/both 'not available/expensive.' Can you say Bentley

Anyway he decided not to fix it as I recall. I will look in my YT history and see if I can find it and post the link.

Same problem and it was on the right side.

Trunk lid problem is about 6 mins into the video

Seems to be a common problem as I had the same issue on both my '12 and '14.

OK, just watched the video again and that is NOT the issue I am having. It is just like xclens' where the leading edge on the passenger side does not pull down flush. The boot opens and closes without any other issue. I have used repeated applications of both WD40 and Permatex silicone spray with no improvement. I just press the passenger corner down everytime I close it.

I had tried other lubes including WD40 but the only one that made a difference was FluidFilm.
