Hello @British ,
Just to clarify my memory, have you ever used the key-blade in your drivers door lock, if so, did it then turn both ways, as I kind of recall that lately you had said it turned only one way, and that was the turn to lock, but not unlock, that could have been someone else, I am just trying to recall and clarify if it has ever turned at all with the key-blade you have, so that we are not dealing with a key-blade that is not for the vehicle.
I have put together the steps for you to remove the door lock cylinder housing, my pictures show the door handle off of the vehicle, you do NOT have to remove any other items, no door panel removal, no door handle removal, nothing, just remove two caps, and loosen two screws at the amount of turns I give for each screw, DO NOT turn more than the maximum amount of turns I give, as the the screws will fall out, then you will have to remove the door panel to replace the fallen out screws, so, if it is you or another, PLEASE follow the amount of turns to within a half a turn or so, do NOT go to the maximum amount, it is NOT necessary at all.
The upper small screw you will loosen 4 - 1/2 turns, it's maximum is 7 - 1/2 turns.
The lower larger screw you will loosen 10 - 1/2 turns, it's maximum is 18 turns.
Once you remove the caps and loosen the screws as prescribed, you will then be able to slide the lock cylinder housing out of the door handle assembly, your blue painted plastic trim will stay on the lock cylinder housing, as it has two built-in retaining clips on the back side, do NOT mess with this trim piece at this point, hold the lock cylinder in your hand and try to turn the key, that will tell us if the lock cylinder itself is jammed, or the door latch lock mechanism inside the door itself is bad, to test the door latch lock mechanism, stick a flat head (regular) screwdriver into the hole you just pulled the lock cylinder out of, and try to turn it either way, it is a yellowish white plastic piece, but not weak, it has a slot, it should turn easily.
So let us know which piece turns, you can have this out in minutes, just two torx screws to loosen, # 20 size, that is that you have gotten the vehicle unlocked again...
PLEASE NOTE, some of my pictures are showing the handle assembly upside down, with the larger brass colored screw on top, this is only to show the amount the screws and locking clamp comes out to release the lock cylinder, please just remember the turns are as described, lower and upper on the door shell itself.
