time related service items / AT 205 additive to engine oil
Hi. I have an 05 CGT with 32k miles , 10 years ago this forum advised me on a few items like timing belt and more to replace at 10 years . Good advice
scotty Kilmer on YouTube seems a genuine mechanic passing on good information. he advises to use AT 205 on older cars where any rubber component may have hardened due to time.
Question: should I put this in my CGT , it's 19 years old , rubber is old and I'm worried about engine seal so thinking of adding this to the oil to soften the rubber

"Additives"....this subject can be a slippery slope 🙂 . I am not a fan of additives. Using the correct lubricants and fluids. Performing the required service intervals. Finally, avoiding short trips and excessive idling works for me. On a side note the reviewers get free stuff for their efforts.
This independent scientific test shows it works but a slight increase in engine wear so best to use in emergency , then replace the oil . Best not to use for prevention is my conclusion
