Parking Sensors PDC Question - Inner/Outer Different Style Required?
Good day, 2006 Flying Spur, car came in with no front bumper, so need all the parking sensors, harness, etc.
I see there are two different parking sensor styles, inner and outer - however, they have the same part#.
Are the 'inner' style sensors required, perhaps due to the wiring harness itself being too short - or will the 'L' shaped 'outer' sensors be able to connect fine?
Image for parts diagram, attached. Thanks in advance for the help!
Hello @mrc00l88 ,
Sorry, I thought that I responded to this back on the 7th...
I think that Scuderia may have some misinformation as to the part numbers of each sensor, as they are not all the same, the 3D0 919 275E is the sensor with the pigtail wire and plug, the others for the front bumper are to my knowledge depending on year and revision were either 1U0 919 275, or 1KO 919 275, so, if you input either of those part numbers into Scuderia, you will see that they come up for the 2006-12 Flying Spur, along with the part number that they are superceded too, and they do not superced to 3D0 919 275 "E", BUT in fact "D", so 3D0 919 275 D for four of them, and 3D0 919 275 E for the other two.
I would call Peter Ketchen directly at Scuderia with your VIN to confirm. Peter Ketchen

Or Steve at BOE parts department here in NJ, depending on your location.
So if I buy a pack, can I get away with 6 'regular L shaped sensors - or in fact are the sensors with the wire pigtails needed due to the bumper harness length, etc?
