One of my rear entertainment screens stopped working.
I found some people on ebay who say they can fix it but I would rather not ship it outside of the USA.
Anyone know of a USA repair service?
Hello @Rudiger ,
I take it that you are referring to your 2018 Bentayga, if so, please elaborate on the issue at hand.
By your picture in the photo thread, I take it that those are the factory removal handheld android screens.
Do you receive the "the battery is defective" message on the screen, if so, see below and attached PDF, if not, please tell us the condition as to power up, or any message at all.
Battery pack and thermal pad replacement in attached PDF.
Yes. That was the screen I was referring to.
The unit does not come on at all. The screen was separated from the case on the bottom left corner.
It snapped back in.
I took it to a local repair place.
He said it was the mother board because he was getting a ping back from the battery.
I don't understand this.
@Rudiger ,
Did the service tech disassemble the unit to inspect, or check the ribbon cable, if the screen was already dislodged from it's housing, is there a possibility that someone prior to your ownership was in there, did the screen ever work in your possession, did something happen in your possession that caused the screen to become dislodged from the housing, as I believe that the instructions in the PDF state to only lift the screen 20mm up from the housing because of the ribbon cable, so you could have just a disconnected ribbon cable..

He did not disassemble it.
It turned on and the screen was not expanded the week before.
I have never used them so I wanted to see what they could do.
It is possible someone dropped it. It was recently detailed at the auto club I store it at and people do have access to it, but there are cameras.
I saw that in the instructions. Thank you btw.
I have taken the back off since so I certainly could have messed up the screen but that was after it wasn't working.
