recently I have been struggling with my front shocks, air leakage from around the top nut, I have repaired both of them using an alternative method rather than dissembling them and putting silicon from inside, I have loosen the 19mm nut and 40mm round screw, applied 34d rtv and put over it a rubber seal + metal washer and screw back both 19 and 40 all the way in and left it to cure for 24 hrs full
P.S. when you remove 40mm screw you will notice the bushing under it, the rubber seal I have attached will fit 100% the place over the bushing, apply a good amount of even layer 34d rtv.
This method worked for me excellent for over 6 months until the shock blowed from the bottom of the bag on one side and the other side leaked oil out of it
This metal washer will push down the rubber seal washer and it makes it work like a bushing after it dries
Now I am working to change the air suspension on my 05 GT to Coilovers with different cars parts to not paying the high expensive cost for ready kits.
