CTEK Charger Ticking

My CTEK charger appears to be working OK but as I stood next to it I could hear a ticking sound every few seconds. The green light is on indicating the battery is fully charged. I know it's not normal as I have another that doesn't tick. Anyone experience this and know what it means?

Well, I answered my own question. It's a relay and many others report the same thing without any adverse effects. We shall see!

Hi Bruce,

I just noticed the same thing on my Bentley charger, a ticking sound. I’m not sure how long it’s been ticking and glad to know this is normal.

I don’t think the issue is confined only to the CTEK chargers though.

Brian
