Hi all,

I am from the UK and a local business to me has started up trading under the name W.O Bentley Ltd. They seem to have no connection to official Bentley and I was wondering whether Bentley owns the W.O Bentley trademark and if not does anybody?

Depends on whether it's a registered trademark of someone else. If it's not trademarked or covered by copyright it becomes fair game with some exceptions. If they manufacture cars it could get sticky but if the guy is selling sausages it's probably OK. In any case, it's up to the entity that is offended to file suit to stop him and will not be enforced by a govt agency. At least that's how it works in the USA. YMMV in the UK.
