Lightbulb Bentley GT vacuum leak and VIN

Someone told me it’d possible to identify whether a Bentley GT is susceptible to the vacuum leak issue based in the VIN.
Is that correct?
And if so, how does one do that?

No, that is not true, the only thing the VIN is telling us is the year of the vehicle, which if you tell us the year, we can determine if it is the early GT with the vacuum lines over the transmission, regardless, all the years suffer vacuum leaks, be at the rack firewall area, rear of the intake manifold, wheel well area to vacuum pump, etc.
I even have pictures from Jason of a 2015 having the same issues with the plastic lines splitting, therefore, vacuum leaks.

Thanks @Johnny for your reply. So is there a potential for an engine out repair for all years then? Or is it only the plastic vacuum lines over the transmission that require an engine out repair? In this case, I’m looking at a 2007 model. I thought that at some stage the plastic lines had been replaced with a different material?

To my knowledge, even the 2018 still has the plastic lines, infact, I just looked up the vacuum lines for a 2020, they are still plastic, although it appears they learned their lesson with the 2018 4.0 V8 TT, as it appears to have no barbed plastic fittings with the plastic tubes over said barbs, yet a 2018 W12 still show at least one barbed fitting...

A 2007 does not require an engine out for the normal failure of lines, but will require a steering rack removal, or a bypass of lines performed, said bypass is discussed in the 6speedonline thread linked below, this is version 2.0, the first version of the bypass is by @Stevieshutts .

Edit: As far as the different material used for the lines, it is people like Jason Giannetti that do the line replacements that make the lines out of metal, Bentley still has plastic..
