Unfortunately the new engine that we installed had to come out due to leaking exhaust valves.
Since the engine is out, I was wondering about the vacuum lines on the 2015 continental convertible. As preventative maintenance should I redo them with metal ones or did Bentley correct the issue ? I read that the earlier ones were notorious for leaks .
The lines were moved around 2006, so your car won't require engine-out to fix them.
At some point they also switched from plastic lines to metal. This is one of the turbo solenoid lines for my 2015:
The short bits of rubber hose on them *could* still deteriorate, but the real problem was the earlier plastic hoses splitting at the barbed connectors.

thanks for getting back to me I’ll just smoke test it and if it checks out leave them for now .
