is a 335 a fun car ?
electronic lsd? how's that work? and why would bmw make that move if it didn't benefit the car?
becuase bmw is more about marketing and electronic gadgets these days than building cars the way they did prior to bangle diminishing the brand.
IMO, it's not that fun stock, an e46 m3 would be much more rewarding to drive stock for stock, but the tuning potential is immense and it provides the torque you want, but if you're into that, y not pick up a bnz?
I own a 335i coupe.. its tuned and its a whole lot of fun.. for the city.. the 320+Wtq, at 1500rpm-5k is just incredible... so much tq on demand, its addictive..
if u get one, u need a tune.
it really is a wolf in sheeps clothing.

yea you can throw her sideways, but it wont be as fun spinning one wheel, albeit very capable. why not buy an rs4 and SC it?? that SC'd rs4 video i saw a while back was sick, and sounded good as hell to boot and was supposedly putting down like 450 awhp or something damn impressive.
btw u can get it sideways. sometimes i feel the coupe is easier to do this with.

what happened to your GT2 idea...you were all set on that like 5 months ago right? what about a SC'd e46 m3? 996TT with RWD conversion?
My experience has been with a Proceeded coupe so I can't comment on a stock one but the power is really amazing. The suspension is great stock too.
Now, without an LSD, you COULD get it sideways using flicks and what not but you won't be able to hold a drift or power over the way you could with an LSD. Now that I'm used to LSD's I just can't give it up in a car so I'd have to have it outfitted with one. The car's great though, I say you just get an 07 and get Proceed and throw an LSD in there from Hartge or Kaaz. That would be a fun car.

I have a Juicebox Stage 2 ECU in my 335, and I can tell you that it's really fast. I'm always in disbelief at how much of a difference a simple ECU mod makes on this car. Is it sideways fun fast? Yes it is, but with an LSD, it would be even more fun. I read that post march or april 07 production 335's have the diff welded on..so you can't replace it with an LSD. Oh well.
Of course you can slide it sideways... You can throw any decently powered rear wheel drive car sideways.
My open dif. e30 will drift for miles with a little finesse. All it takes is control and finesse.
A flick at speed will definately do the trick. Apparently it depends on whether or not you can drive a RWD car.... I've never had a bit of trouble. Although an LSD is more fun, and takes less effort to hang sideways.
