I actually drove one of my buddies m6 for almost a month, we did a swap with a ride, I liked it alot, comparing to a 650 which I test drove it before, it was nothing close, I personally the money is definitely worth it.

I have to agree with what everyone is saying. I test drove the 650i sport and enjoyed it, but once it was fully optioned, the price wasn't too far off from the M. I made the jump and went with the M6 Convert and absolutely love it.

Dealer yesterday

Spent a little time exploring the two cars. The carbon fiber roof and interior trim is really sweet. I would agree that the difference between the 6 and the M is close and it is probably worth the money. With regards to the driving, no M experience yet. I did drive the 650 and it is nice. No where near the ***** of my AMG, but a nice touring car. I plan on getting in the M this next week.

Thanks for the feedback.

my M6 is much stronger/fun/driver oriented than my CL55 was.

Local dealer here has a leftover M6 with the 6speed manual. How do these cars do with the 6 speed? Or is the SMG that much better?

Drove the M6, really liked it. The SMG is pretty cool. Takes a little getting used to, but pretty fun. Still trying to make a decision. Drove the Z06 also, fast as hell, but really a race car for the street. Could not imagine driving it everyday. No doubt the M6 is more engaging than the CLS55. I am continuing the qwest...

Is the SMG faster though? Also is there a way to disable the traction control on the six speeds?

currently, no. i don't know why you would want the manual anyways? it's quite a bit slower and lowers the top speed significantly.

The only reason I'm asking about the manual is because the local dealer has a leftover 07 they are discounting heavily. It is a 6speed manual. They don't have a SMG car.

I love the M6 - last bimmer I had was the 745i when it first came out. Id take the M6 over any other bimmer out there now - its sex on wheels! Good luck with your decision!

j/k get the M6. IMO it's the better car. And a real coupe.
