So even though the M3 isn't the fastest but it was the "best handling". Gee, no one saw that coming did they?

M3 vs RS4 vs IS-F

For the record, I will not be buying an IS-F. Not enough difference compared to the IS350. I drove one at SEMA this year and was impressed but not impressed enough for a $25k+ premium. The AMG looks to be the big surprise.

None of these cars still compare to a 2 yr old M5 though.

^^^^^^
agreed. if the pricing remains as stated in the magazine, the c63 will be closer to $10k cheaper than the other two. that by itself will result in huge sales i would bet. given a clean used example, i could (gasp) consider one cuz hey, having 450+ hp in an automatic isnt all that bad.

but realistically, i would be looking for a nice clean used m5 with few miles that should do the trick nicely for me.

I hate the styling of the M3. I honestly like the simple understated look of my 335 better. As far as performance, it's not much faster than my chipped 335, so I can't justify the $20K price difference. The M3 seems to be only good for bragging rights. For real world I'll stick with my car!

I think the argument on the c63 compared to the M3 is a little tough. Because i am a die hard Bimmer fan and I think the M3 is amazing but i would almost jump into the C63 just for the shear madness of the gas n go.

If I lived in an area where I had more of a chance to whip an M3 around then I would not hesitate but in southern cal alot of stop and go so I would actually have to jump into the C63. Or just save all the money and chip out a 335.

M3 is a beautiful machine. No doubt about that. I really like the previous gen M3's better though. I saw a new M5 on the freeway today. Good looking, but they have gotten rather bland.
