Agree with the above. Part the Dinan stuff out - you can get more for it OFF the car. FWIW - Dinan isn't as sought after as it was 3 years ago... just so many good aftermarket firms have come into the market.

Cinnamon is a good interior - but black/cinnamon is not a rare combination by any stretch (and I see a LOT of M3s).

As noted before - E46 M3 prices are dropping fast - especially it seems in the past 5-6 months. Look at the price differential between what you would LIKE to get - and the common selling prices of 2003-2004 M3s today. I doubt someone is going to pay a large price differential between a 2004 and a 2006 since they are the same model.

Most people that would consider buying it will run that odometer up like a Vegas gambler.... so the very low miles (IMO) don't substantially add to the car's value.

There are a LOT of M3s for sale in the market now.

heres my take...i have over 25K in parts and labor on my 2004 silver grey/cinnamon (rare color combo) with 24500 miles and ALL of my parts were installed at a dinan center so they are under warranty...kbb private on it says about 40K...a wholesaler offered me in the range of 33-34 for it in bone stock form. it seems people want something for nothing these days. ive put a feeler out on m3forum for parting it out, but its a huge PITA!

Thanks guys for the input. As far as parting out the Dinan parts, it would be cost prohibitive to do that too, because of the labor charges and the BS involved. I tried to do this with the last Porsche I had and between what I got for the parts and labor charges to swap back the oem parts I didn’t come out far enough ahead to deal with the pain in the neck it was. Plus Dinan takes most of your oem parts as part of the deal, for example the differential and throttle bodies. Luckily I am not desperate to sell it, I think I will wait until the new M3 convertible is released and take a bath on my car then, at least I will still have some more time to enjoy it…. Then at least I will have the new one to ease the pain.
Thanks for the help guys!!

Something like this would go for about 50-55k + in Canada.. which is about 54 000 - 60 000 US...

Only thing you would have to worry about is the fees .. there are duties you will have to pay because the car is assembled outside North America as well as sales taxes. I see a lot of people importing cars from the states now because they are so inexpensive.

Correction... I took a look on the local trader here... and there are only two 06 M3's for sale.. two Very similar to this (stock though) with about 4500 kilometers on it .. and with this kind of mileage you may be looking at high 60's (cdn, low 70's US)..

Now I wouldn't recommend asking that much.. you want a quick sale.. but low mileage and with these mods you may be in luck

check it out

Well that price range was more for jpcourt.. an 04 seems to have a significant price drop (40's cdn) but depends on how many miles you have.. but the strong Canadian dollar is where you will make some more money

Check out www.trader.ca and compare prices.. that will give you a rough idea

I feel you on the soft market... Ive been debating on whether or not I should be selling my 04 vert with a AA SC on it... I really dont want to part it out, but it looks like thats the only way Im going to recoup any of my cost.. Just a few months ago 04's were selling in the 40's.. now its mid 30's!

Asking price v. selling price. Everyone is Canada who is buying is looking at US prices. Those high priced cars simply will not sell unless the buyer is retarded.

Here's an example of a car over-priced by at least $25k
