M3 Competition package
Comp seats? The seats are EXACTLY the same ones as in a standard M3... do you mean the checkered cloth seats? I think most people who bough the comp package also got the leather, so those are exactly the same
One in the drive way-
Worth it, even if you can't tell a diff in per. I cant because I havent had much time with the regular M3. The wheels are dead sexy, the brakes look good, the suede wheel is nice etc etc etc.

The competition package is probably going to retain or go up in value in the future considering the fact that E46 model is so desirable and sought after. E46 M3 ZCP was Bmw's way of taking the E46 M3 out with a bang (At least in the U.S)
I have one as well and I definitely think it is worth $4,000. Not only for all the extras (most importantly the wheels, steering, brakes, and M-Track traction control) but also for the exclusivity. When time to sell, the Competition M3 have something special that sets them apart from the "regular" and "popular" M3's.
i think it's worth it, but i don't agree with your statement considering the wheels are only $1600 new for a set and i would immediately get rid of the crap michelin PS all seasons.
OEM ZCP wheels and tires= $4200 Since when are Michelin PS crap? Thought they were a summer tire too?

the wheels alone can be bought for 1600 and Pilot sports arent nearly as good as PS2's. either way they are still a cast wheel, not as strong as the forged oem 19s, even though lighter, and not nearly as strong as other stuff like the forged bbs wheels, or neez, fiske, etc. plus, the 225/255 set up on the m3 sucks. it understeers way too much, and with the softer suspension (which also sits higher) on the comp pack, you def need at least 245/275 if you arent going to get a wider front to run 265s up front and new suspension.
to me the comp pack is a gimmick that adds a few items to a car that are going to be changed in a modded car anyway. if you think its worth it, go for it...i personally dont and would much rather spend a little more money to get better aftermarket parts that suite my personal needs rather than a factory package that is compromised from the start because it has to appeal to a large audience.
- ill always remember that, i had to break the 400 barrier and it was all thanks to cruise control
i doubt it will go up in value - if you look on the internet of sales of a same year same mileage M3 vs. M3 zcp, the price is near identical... its just not that big of a deal, the loss of the steering wheels functions is, imo, a big thing, i used cc and the audio functions all that time, especially cc... all the time - i once achieved 400.1 miles on a single fill up...

ZCP has a reduced steering ratio (2.7 turns to lock instead of 3.0 I believe), better brakes, the best OEM wheels every put on a car, and alcantara ebrake, shifter, and steering wheel.
so are 360CS wheels.
