What do you atribute the low demand to?

BTW - I'm not planning to buy one. The styling is awful IMO and as pointed out previously - the performance gain is relatively negligible.

Tried to place an order on one several months ago right after I sold my e46 m3...local dealer was asking 30k over sticker...just got over it since I didn't feel like waiting this long anyways

Im not sure, alot of buyers are waiting for the new gearbox. And alot of the buyers who were with us for the launch, flogging the cars around the track were very unimpressed. So that wouldn't have helped.

It is a great car, but defiantly not for me ( not hardcore enough ). It has ***** though, SPANKS an RS4, walks it, which surprised alot of people.

I THINK the red M3 finally sold in the last few days, it had been there for a month or so ( which is a long time ).

i only know there are at least 3-4 times more GTR sold in HK then the new M3.

i've ordered one but decided not to pick it up since the price they are asking is outragerous. funny thing is, BMW HK tells me if i want a 335i, i'll have to wait at least 6-8 months. but if i want the M3 now, its still here waiting for me to pick up. (been at least 3 months since it has arrive)

Wonder how long it will take before their prices start to become reasonable.

They overshot the mark with pricing. I doubt the new M3 is going to sell as many as the E46.
