Hey 360 Forged, I do not see Moroso as a vialble choice for doing this.
What I want to do are rolling start runs, say 30 mph to 150mph and nowhere in Moroso can you achieve 150 mph.
We need a nice long runway like 2miles to have sufficient cool down distance.
I know there is an airport (limited use) down south called Dade-Collier which has an 11,000 foot runway and this is perfect.
I would just like for the bull**** issues about what happened in Ocala to cool down. This stupid irresponsible behavior compromises responsible adults.
We need to keep this idea going. Earlier I had considered that an event like this could be put on every 3 months.

Is it possible to rent the homestead miami speedway, or is that too expensive?

Homestead is the same problem as Moroso. There is no sufficiently long straight to achieve 150 mph. I do not want to get into turns for safety reasons.
Hopefully when this is done we can not have a single hiccup incident because we will really then be screwed forever.
Again a nice long straight of 2 miles is perfect to do the run offs.
The airstrip I am considering even has side access roads to return back and be off the main strip.
Will reopen the investigation with a board member who is a pilot and knows the workings of this procedure.

Straight line run offs are the safest for two cars to compete. As I've said doing 30 to 150 or maybe 180 mph runs would be great and let guys test their metal.
