I have an offer to change it out at my dealer, but only after some complaining. Let us know if you are successful. Others have tried and failed..

Yes you can seriously get this changed out under warranty. I 've had mine done before. I need to have it done again.

Joe,

My dealer will replace it under warranty if you bring the vehicle in. I had to bring my vehicle in to have it loked at. Mine was pitting all over. No way to deny it!

There is a slider on the belt that prevents this. You simply have to slide it up so it sit's right underneath the buckle. This way when you let go of the belt, the buckle gets raised up instead of banging in to the trim. It only took two pits in my aluminum to figure this out.
