Seatbelt is destroying door trim in e90
Is anyone else noticing the aluminum trim in the doors are being dinged to hell from the clasp of the seat belt? I took my wife’s e90 into the shop for the tire sensor, and noticed the door trim has dozens of dings in the trim. I asked the dealer if BMW will charge me at the end of the lease, and they were not certain. Cost of replacement is over $500 each door, and there is no way I can get my wife to hold the seatbelt clip every time. Are other materials having this problem?

My E92 has had the seats refinished because the seatbelt rubs the leather and discolors the piping.
BMW is aware that the Aluminum trim pits very easily. I haven't had any issues having the parts replaced when requested.

are you buying the car at the end of the lease?
if not...what's the point of doing that if someone else is going to get that car(?)

I've been talking to some people about my trim too, it's getting killed. I'll go talk to the dealer tomorrow... I'd rather replace it with CF ONCE instead of alum 5 times before warranty expires. Does BMW have OEM CF for the E92 yet (I'd pay the diff)?

Surprising..most posts are saying their dealers are changing it out under warranty.

You can seriously get this changed under warranty? I didn't know that. The same thing's been happening to my trim. It started to bother me, but then I just stopped caring. I'm going to look into this.
