Just got done with my 5 speed swap in my 735i. I put a JB racing light weight flywheel and a spec stage 3 plus clutch assembly. I also put a stock z3 shifter , which as shortened the through tremendously. Everything works great and the acceleration is awesome. I also put a m5 cluster in as well and did some break up grades, such as stainless steel brake lines and brembo sport rotors and hawk pads. I also redyed my seats. I've ridden in it, it's mean. Once you get it painted you'll have to post some pics. An 88 5speed 735i is sick, because no one has one.
