This M3 just doesn't sit right,though. I liked the E46M Vert, though.

I don't think that is what he is talking about...none of those cars come in 'hard top' form. I think he is talking about 'sports cars' that also have a convertible model.

If you ask most enthusiasts which 'sports car' they would take, they will take a 911 turbo over the 911 turbo cabriolet. They will take an F430 over the F430 Spider. I think that is his only point.

I hope BMW is reading these forums and seeing the reaction from the community that actually has the means of purchasing one of these cars. Because gees, it really is not a pretty car at all. They are turning down a lot of potential buyers.

the e46 vert was much better looking in my opinion.

I can't believe they kept that tacky chrome trim around the windows. m3's never have that.

yeah I'm actually a HUGE fan of the new m3 but the vert just isn't doing it for me at all... I need to see one in black, and optioned differently... I REALLY hope that chrome trim isn't on all of them...

Not quite Digging it either. Soft top would of been much nicer.

I'm sure it's a blast to drive, but it's got somewhat of an 80's look to it, and that's not a good thing.. The 3-series cab is the worst looking BMW in many, many years IMO.(maybe ever?)

Maybe it will look better in a darker color but I am not liking the look.

WTF is an enthusiast? Why do people try to define what it means to be an "enthusiast?"

The 911 cab v. coupe is a little tougher because the 911 cab doesn't look as good as the coupe since the 911 was originally designed to be a coupe.

however, there's no question i'd take a F430 spider over the coupe version. no questions asked.

i think y'all judging this m3 based on two small **** pics on an internet forum are being a bit myopic.

m3s always look better in coupe form, but let's see how this one looks with the hard top off lowered on some nice 20" wheels. i'm sure it'll look as good as the E46 M3 convertible. i'm glad this thing has an auto hardtop roof. i'd never buy one tho.
