I don't understand why these guys are whining about nitrous.

A good, proper kit is not just a few hundred bucks. With all the right equipment, a simple plate kit can run $2k pretty easily. Fogger systems are over $3k.

Nitrous has proved to be an efficient way of making BIG power. It's intended for drag racing, not road racing so the bottle does not need to last very long.

Guys that whine about nitrous simply don't know anything about it. If they did, it would be on their cars.

Sign me up for the ASR intake scoops, exhaust, and nitrous system for my E92 M3. Can't wait until the parts become available.

If the nitrous kit is anything like what they produce for the M5/M6 then there will be many satisfied customers.

Is a 100 shot the most you feel is safe or is 125 a possibility? Not sure what the A/F looks like.

As of right now the 100 shot is very safe with no issues. We will not raise the shot until we are finished with further testing and tuning. We are currently monitoring the car with the 100 shot to collect data on it's reliablilty, durability, and safety. Once we have collected that data is when we determine if it is safe to move forward to a larger shot on pump gas.

First off, its called nitrous, not NOS. NOS is a brand name that no one in this thread is speaking about...especially ASR.

Second off, $100 for a proper nitrous kit? Thats laughable.

And third off, why mention blowing motors? We are talking about effective/efficient/safe/reliable nitrous oxide setups...not a 1/2 *** hack job.

Can you please provide us with some more info? We know its a 100 shot. Is it direct port? Progressive shot with a window switch? What electronics are you guys using to control things?

thanks

Our nitrous kit is a dry system that is tuned and controlled VIA the factory ECU and a nitrous control module that remote operates the bottle opener, heater, thermostsat, and pressure sensor. The nitrous control module allows for perfect conditions every run by maintaining bottle pressure within 5psi +/- of the your desired bottle pressure. It also has an LCD that shows current bottle pressure and any faults in the system such as clogged lines, solenoids, bottle opener or heater malfunction, etc. The nitrous system is designed to activate and deactivate based on tps, rpm, and load. This way the system only turns on under perfect conditions and turns off automatically before the rev limiter to ensure engine safety.

With the location of the switch will it be difficult to engage the system once moving? For example, with DCT and launch control I don't want to spray out of the hole. I would like to spray starting in second gear, is it difficult to engage once moving and can I program the RPM it starts and shuts off on my own?

To be quite honest we have not decided on where we are going to locate the arming toggle switch. We usually don't put it in a visible location, but we can put a secondary momentary switch on the shifter. That way you can activate it at anytime as long as you are within the preset parameters. Changing the rpm points is not something I recommend, especially since you won't really need to. The car barely spins the tires with the 100 shot in first gear since the gears are so tall.

I'm editing my last comment since I just noticed you said your car was not a six speed manual. In this case, your best bet to prevent wheel spin would be to use the secondary momentary switch as I mentioned before.

Not quite, we're working on a couple of things but cannot offer a reflash for for these cars at the present time. As of right now we are using the factory ecu to attenuate fuel and timing for the nitrous package, but there is a lot more R&D involved to complete the project.

At what RPM does the Nitrous currently start and finish?

Yea I was having a hard time believing you guys had already cracked the ECU

Im impressed with what you guys have been able to do though. It looks like the V8 responds well to the 100 shot (especially since it was 104 degrees in the shop). Too bad there is no AFR plot though. Id be interested in seeing that.

Also - you never mentioned...is this a DP setup or single fogger?
