HPF Stage 3 M3 vs Single Turbo Supra - Video
Agreed... I've been considering and E46M3 with the HPF kit but it looks SOOOOOOOOOOOOO laggy in all the vids I've seen.To me it looks as if by the time the turbos spool the race is over already..And then the HPF car shoot past whatever it was racing

No doubt two very strong cars but the video to me proved very little.
The results were so inconsistent race after race. I'm not sure what it proved but bottomline I think the Supra is faster.

i dont know what the video was trying to prove but the results were very inconsistent.. most of the time the supra won, the one or two races where it seemed like the m3 won, it also seemed like the supra let off probably cos he was running out of gear on his th400 which is gear limited to about 145mph or so.. which absolutely makes sense..
i'd say repeat the same races with a 74mm supra and a 6speed.. no point in racing a th400 car with a 3 inch exhaust above 145mph

The cars were set up very equal. The M3 has more power so the Supra was allowed to run better gas and more boost along with the drag radials. They may run again today with the M3 on race fuel. If I get a video of that comparison, I'll post it up.
Chris.
The HPF M3 hits power instantly however the HPF M3 is running 19" wheels and street tires and the Supra is running 17" wheels and BFG drag radials. So the M3 always pedals and the Supra gets to apply full power in the beginning. Once solidly into 4th gear, the M3 can apply full power. I think we're just going to have to see some of these M3's run 17" wheels in the rear with drag radials.

It should be a slaughter. But don't get me wrong, that Supra is fast and it hangs with liter bikes. Chris.

The Supra is going to make less power due to the tranny choice and WILL run out of gear (which was previously stated). Then again I don't need to tell the original poster this, because he HAS a Supra and knows exactly what he was posting with this video.
I'm not trying to discredit Chris's accomplishments in becoming a leading aftermarket powerhouse for the E46 M3; quite frankly I think it's testament to the R&D conducted by him and his employees to make a product available to the market that literally breathes hot air into the E46's abilities. Kudos to Chris and his accomplishments, but please, make sure the next race features a 6speed Supra w/ a 74MM turbo as was previsouly suggested by Chidoks.
Personally, I do not know what his intentions are when posting this video. He has also had two opportunities to elaborate on the tranny situation with the Supra and efforts in making the next race more relevant, but has failed to do so; I certainly do not care about the results in this video, because I don't believe all the variables were dealt with correctly. You mean to tell me that because the 'M3 has more power so the Supra was allowed to run better gas and more boost along with the drag radials...' is some sort of consolation?

Chris.
I am in no way trying to discredit Chris' achievements. I give him mad props for doing what he's done with an M3.
I just think the playing field needs to be leveled, and you say that the M3 lives in Florida?
I'll be on the hunt for a 750hp six speed.
