i am personally not an audi man at all. and i agree that this is largely due to them being bleh in general...but they are finally beginning too change at least. but again kinda falling into the same trap. they made a nice thing with the 5 series, but now they are going to transpose those cues or some of them along to much of the rest of the line, which i personally think will destroy the uniqueness of each individual model in the lineup...my two sense though.

the examples i see are either too krauted out or bone stock. someone should really do the above for the perfect look.

All S4s... bleh. even the rs4 is now bleh. that's the issue with audis in general. bleh.
Wow Ben. For some reason I thought you would be a vert hater.

Anyway here is my buddy's and mine after he just bought my old hardtop.

Pretty much what you described. Hopefully you don't think mine is "krauted" out.

Although i'm not a fan of red cars. your 2 verts are nice. I love the look of a vert with the hardtop down. Kinda gives it that coupe with pillarless windows rolled down look.

If you listen to Jeremy Clarkson then you can get the Audi, but only if you want to be a coc*... Or you can now get the M3 and be cool since all of the coc*s that used to own M3s now own Audis

Most 4 seat soft top verts look like someone pitched a tent over the back. You can totally tell it was an after thought, not apart of its' original design. I agree the e46 with the top down is one of the best looking 4 seat verts out there, but you'll have to hope for perfect weather all the time.

Maybe with some vert models but there has been an M3 vert since the first E30 model.

Yes, what I'm saying it, it doesn't seem like the designers made the car with the idea that they'll be making a vert. The current M3 was said to not come in a vert version, as did the last one. In the end, they wanted to make money. The e92 vert does have a very flush top though.
