Discounts on M5's and M6's these days??

mostly a hypothetical, but i am curious what discounts people are seeing right about now...i imagine the discounts are enormous on these cars which haven't been selling well for a while now, but i have not heard any recent data points...thx.

Before summer I was offered 3k over invoice to order a new M6. It should be a lot lower now, especially when the cars are sitting on their lot...

all i've seen of late are used ones, and the best deals are about $40k below msrp for an 07 m6, which likely beats the heck out of what a dealer can do on a new one!!

I got a card in the mail yesterday from BMW offering .9% financing on M3 sedans and convertibles, and 1.9% on coupes.

I know they were doing that for other cars, but NOT the M-cars. I am sure there are deals to be had out there, especially on M5 and M6.

Good luck to you with your search!

When I was searching M3's, m5's and the E63 AMG I was offered pretty fair discounts in my opinion. Maybe not the lowest, but I'm sure someone can do better if they really haggled the dealer.

I was offered 5k off the new M3 manual coupe at Irvine BMW.

I was only offered 2K off the DCT manual m3 coupe.

At Crevier BMW, I was offered 10k off any M5 they had in stock.

At MBZ of Laguna Niguel I was offered 12k off a new 08 E63.

At MBZ of Fletcher Jones Newport Beach, my brother was offered $500 over invoice for a new C63. I dont know what discount that equates to but I'm sure someone out there does.

I can get some official release dates up here soon. Some, if not most, of the '09 product is either out or in transit. The fact that it is out doesn't necessarily mean it will be on the dealer's lot. Some dealers will let it sit at the port until they sell through most if not all of their '08. This usually happens with a new model being released. One of my friends owns a BMW dealer. He hast 3 or 4 '08 3 series left on his lot. Not going to bring in the '09s (sitting at the port) until the '08's are gone.

from what i'm hearing over on the m3 board, the dealers are already offering up decent deals on ordered 09's...guys have gotten between $1000-1500 over invoice on 09 m3's they have recently ordered...no financing deal though. i guess bmw is being smart and is not assuming any increased demand for 09's relative to 08's....

AW M6 all options minus HD radio, High beam assist and heated steering wheel

15k a year
36 month
$1700 monthly
$2500 down

Didn't take much effort to get to that, spoke to them about ordering an 09 and was told I wouldn't get the same discount but I would still get some...

Discounts shouldn't be hard to get these days...

I don't think "over" exists anymore.
