My old school weekend ride
More of a resto mod running typical mods that someone would have done in the '70's. It's a real tii (mechanical fuel injection), but the motor has a hotter cam, head work, forged pistons etc etc. It's about 160hp, versus 130 for a stock tii, weight is a little over 2000 lbs.
Running E12 5 series brakes up front and GTI discs in the back.
Bigger sways, H&R springs and Bilstein HD's, plus urethane bushings all around.
5 speed, LSD and front seats from an E21 320i sport.
6 series rear buckets dyed to match.
BBS RM 2 piece "staggered" setup - 195/50/15 up front, 205/50/15 out back
The whole bottom of the car was POR 15'd.
It actually is fairly fast versus the average car on the road, and is so much fun to drive as everything is manual..steering, brakes, windows, sunroof. It is very tossable and a pure driving experience. The closest P car I have driven in terms of a pure driving experience is a 996 GT3 as I haven't had the pleasure of driving any old P cars.
