On the E60 m5, around the bottom of the center console there's this piece of plastic. There looks to be enough room for 8 buttons. Sometimes I see 4 buttons there, sometimes 6. I'm cursious what these buttons are for. obviously seat warmers would be 2 of them, what about the other 6? I found some picture showing 8 buttosn there but I can't figure out what all the buttons are for

Seat Heating, seat cooling, tire pressure, park distance, and I think the 3rd ones in are for the active seat bolsters. BTW, older e60 in the pic. newer ones don't look like that.
