2009 135 coupe w/ M pkg

Today drove the 09 135, was more fun than I expected after having considered the 09 TT3.2 mt6. The twin turbo bmw obviously has more output, AND is easily bumper by Dinan to ~380hp Which must be a hoot!

I was surprised the back seat knee space was so good with my driver seat set for 5-11 roomy setting. Price wise, the 135 seems to bring more options with an easily $47k price (loaded minus the brakes and steering wheel gadgetry) whereas the TT loaded up goes over $50k and is really a 2 seater, period with less cargo space too.

If a person were slotting this car into a daily/track fun car, the 135 seems to be nearly the obvious choice unless you just prefer TT design aspects and character. After all, the TT is more simplistically just a coupe while the 135 is more functional as an all around "small car".

For us, we would love to take the TT to ski, camping trail heads, etc so that starts to offset some things, but then again, we have the S4 wagon for all that and the 135 would be SO fun on the track - right?

Everyone on here seems to be all about the M3 with little 135 track nut population. ?

The 1 Series is a horrible looking car. If you can live with the looks, it's a good performer.

Cool

Well, when a Pulitzer prize winning author calls a car ugly, it is probably ugly.

Even if the 1 series cost $10,000, I think it would still cost too much for how it looks.

jwestpro allow me to give you a little info.
ASR Engineering in Miami, FL. has a developed TT upgrade for the 135 which has proven dyno results of 530 RWHP.
Yes I said 530 RWHP! and an M5/M6 killer along with many other competitors.
Forget the Dinan nonsense and shallow hp gains.

If you have a 135 and want to get serious mods call ASR Engineering.
