The key was the 996 was on 91 octane! But that BMW is nasty none the less!

Yep, forgot abpout that part. Makes sense as he was probably only running 1.0 BAR or less (I can't re-watch the video here at work).

If he was using meth or race gas, he would have made much more power.

Regardless, I love Drew's car. It does so much with what it has.

Drews car pulls hard... don't underestimate it, and I believe verified for a 60 to 130 pull in the low to mid 7's... so there shouldn't be any surprises. I know the owner of that 996TT, and talked to him after that run and he said Drew was pulling on him, no excuses. He did say he wasn't in his power range for his car, so a run from a higher speed in that gear would've made it really close. He was on 91 octane, 1.2 bar, alpha GT28, EPL Tune. If he was on race gas and meth, we might see a different result, but if they run from that speed with 91 octane, Drew will pull on him again.

I'm not underestimating Drew's car, but it's a 130 mph car racing a 135 mph car. Anyway, it sounds like the driver's fault.

"He wasn't in the power range for his car."

I guess he's never heard of downshifting.

I think everyone brings up some excellent points, we will do a rematch soon. The owner certainly knows how to drive though, and was in the proper gear when we hit it, but maybe not in his sweet spot as I was. I'm all too aware of being in the wrong spot on the initial start.

We were unable to do a rematch at that time, but will run again and I suspect the outcome will be different, however this was a legit run up until he miss shifted and he was on 1.2 bar of boost, but his car is not aggressively setup as others might be. Trust me I have no delusions of grander on this, I am well aware of what those cars are capable of! On race fuel completely different story.

These are just friendly pulls scott, we specify before we go which gear and what mph to start at... thus one car will almost always have an advantage, in this case drews car. Another thing to note is that the 996TT probably has upwards of an additional 100 whp based on gas alone... the difference between his 91 file, and running MS109 with meth is huge, especially on the Alpha GT28's... he was running 1.2 bar...but bad gas definitely plays a huge factor here.

Regardless, I love Drew's car and it always impresses me.

I'll leave it at that.

Thanks Scott, more runs are coming and no doubt one of these 996/7TT's are going to destroy me!

I did not expect the out come. I would hope an A28 car would run better then that. Regardless of 996 situation - "run what you brung". Nice run Drew.

My 996tt has k24, tune, exhaust and I was walking my friends ESS VT2-600 E92 M3. Same thing, he gets a bit of a jump but then I put school bus on it. His car is running on pump 93 for now and it made 499rwhp which is a quiet a bit less then you. My 996 made 516rwhp on the same dynojet.

I told him about the W/M setup you were telling me about and I think he's gonna go for it too.

Thanks Bro, the car hit 11.45 @ 131 MPH, and trapped 102.8 in the 1/8th last weekend, 79 degrees, 1200' DA, not too shabby, just wasn't able to launch it properly.

Did you get any vids against your buddies car? What have you ran 1/4 mile and 60-130 Vbox wise?

Damn, that M is running a 7.37 60-130? Wow, it sounds sick too. Very impressive. That outcome doesn't surprise me at all. No lag, against 28's. I doubt the Pcar could ever win unless he runs more boost. The Pcar could do 6's with a great shift. Let's see a rematch guys!!

i can tell from the time you got no traction. went 11.4 in my E55 at 123.5mph lol. 131 is a serious trap speed though !!! what brand/size wheels/tires are you using at the track?

my friend got phone videos of the M3 runs but they were crappy quality, and i think he needs a little more practice in the M3....so i didn't post them up.

the only two videos on youtube of my car are agains a 10 second EVO running E85 and 30psi ona GT30. he beats me by 2 cars.

another one is with my friends viper gts. im RWD in both runs
