Can anyone recommend a shop in LA to do a PPI in a 98 328i?
Besides the water pump is there anything else I should look for?

Check the cooling system(water pump should be metal propeller not plastic, thermostat housing should be aluminum, and check the hoses and radiator for cracks)
Engine belts
Rear shock mounts and towers
Rear subframe
Worn Tie rods
Lower control arm bushings
Rear control arm bushings
Wheel bearing play
Blown shocks and struts
Worn sway bar links
Leaky valve cover gasket(oil in the spark plugs)
O2 sensiors
And window regulators and motors

I could do the inspection but I might not be as thorough as a shop. But I have owned my E36 M3 for a while so I can spot most problems.
