True enough. The only reason that some cars escape the crusher is because somebody cut them up and made them special.

Thanks much for all the comments. The car is definitely something different and I appreciate all the support it has received.

I wish you had seen it in San Diego, but unfortunately it is in Maryland.

It has stock m5 axles. They are supposed to be plenty robust, but I guess we will find out.

When the weather breaks, I will post up some videos of the car in action.

Thanks much for all the comments. Car is currently undergoing a few changes...built motor, billet 7175, and Racelogic Traction Control. Plus, found a set of 2003 headlights to replace those dusty 2000 lights.

A quick update. We ended up building the motor, CP pistons, Crower Rods, ARP mains, slapped a billet 7175 on it and then had Justin give it some more tuning love. Here are a couple dyno vids of it on pump gas and then e85.

Another, I am sorry extremely boring video showing start up and idle. It starts up instantly and settles into a nice 900rpm idle. All normal vehicle functions work as can be seen in the video, except for the oil temp gauge. A/C blows ice cold, navigation, stereo, mileage calculator, temp, etc all just like stock. Also, you can hear some of the clutch chatter in the video.

And then some pictures of the car as it sits now.

A few pics of a dirty m5 after a 220 mile trip: http://www.flickr.com/photos/42232982@N04/6063424538/ , http://www.flickr.com/photos/42232982@N04/6062822373/
