Well it looks like stock M6s come with 500hp. So more then likely he did just a few small things to get it to 508 at the wheels. My guess since it sounds like its just N/A. More then likely exhaust by the sound of the car. And a few other things. I don't know BMW well but it sounds like it would be that way.

It takes more than just a few small mods to get ab m5/6 to dyno 500+ hp. I did virtually everything short of NOS, SC, turbos to eek out 480's.
That being said, without a baseline or factoring in operator fudge factor, number means almost nothing.

I agree that 508whp with minor mods is unlikely. I'd bet that they did a stroker build to enlarge the motor and an exhaust and tune. Total guess though. Could just be a high reading dyno as others have said.

Thats actually MSIZZLES car from M6BOARD.com, if im not wrong i believe he has headers, full exhaust(no cats),bmc filters, scoops, block off plates, ecu tune, and pulley upgrade. But his ride is a monster for sure.

whats up fellas that is my m6!!! the car when i first got it i felt it was a very healthy motor and to be honest i have been debating these whp ratings with the web ever since i achieved them, when i got my car it was delimited but i was the first owner, before that the car was registered to bmw na, im a gm of a nissan dealer with a motorsports branch and i have a race shop that i have been partners with for about 8 years now, i have done about 40 project cars for my store with the mechanic there and 3 cars of my own. He specializes in mostly nissans and other japanese cars. None of the parts i have were built by him nor does he service the bmw market so there would be no benefit to him to have a monster m6, its not his target market.

Now about my car, because i have access to a dyno every time i got a different mod throughout my build process i was able to dyno the car and see the net gains i got from it, when i was stock the car made 440 whp, that is higher than most but not outrageous for a 500bhp car, i have k&n typhoon intake, evo sport headers, evo sport pulleys, evo sport sec 2,3, of the exhaust, and also i run no cats or resonators. Stock the car has 4 cats plus the resonators plus mufflers so you can imagine the improvement from uncorking all that!!! Now to bring all the mods together i had power chips stage 2 tune(now i have a stage 3 custom race map from them). Now i know with each mod the hp they claim dont just add to each other but it is a point of reference: headers 40hp,intake 14hp, pulley 14hp, straight pipes 25hp, tune 25hp, thats 118hp. I watched the car go up in hp as i got more done so for the fans be happy for me and my strong car for the haters keep hatin!! Btw i will line up against ANY s85 that thinks they may have a stronger car. I just did a 60-130 of 9.3 the fasters m5/6 i have found is 10.4

I'm gong to have to raise the BS Flag going to need alot more than just bolt on to get that power. I've had bolt-on's and never came close to 500.

the m5 is a fast car. i raced one in my 996tt when it was stock and we were neck to neck. i have stage 2 upgrades now and my car is much faster. i have no doubts that i would be 3-4 cars ahead of a stock one now. however, with the mods done to the last tread it would be fun to see the difference now. i always take the bolt on hp upgrades and cut them 40-50 % my car now is a soild 500whp on pumped gas. never tried racing fuel yet.. enjoy !!
