2009 Z4 Transmission

I am looking into buying a 2009 Z4, turbo, with the 7 speed auto clutch manual transmission, the car will be for my wife, my question is does this tranny work well when left in the auto mode? I used to have a 2006 M3 with 6 speed, but have heard the older version SMG was a bit quirky. Thanks

yes it does shift great

No lag, instal downshifts

It's an amazing transmission

I had one for 2 months and recently gave it to my mother (as I got myself a M3)

In D mode, it's laggy, but good for Daily driving

In Sport Mode, it's amazing.

Put EDC in Sport+, Transmission in Sport, and watch the rocket fly
