Electrical short = BMW burn down ?

My daughters 2005 325i sitting in a parking lot and caught on fire for no reason.

No one hurt
Glad the car wasn't in the garage.

I went looking on the web and found a staggering amount of BMW's burning down due to electrical shorts.

BMW called and is asking questions like:
"did she have the head lights on? Was the A/C on at the same time?"

yep, we have insurance and im sure BMW wont pick up the tab.

Anyone have this happen?
